Whether waking up to misty mornings, aimlessly wandering the leafy pathways and storied hallways, reveling in a convivial feast with kindred spirits, or quietly sipping cocktails on the porch to tangerine-hued sunsets, the stately manor welcomes curious travelers from all over for an experience filled with beauty, style, and delight. After dedicating his career to designing bespoke residential homes, Jay is thrilled to bring his talents to his debut hotel, The Madrona, which opened in spring 2022 in Healdsburg, California. With a deep love for hotels throughout most of his life, Jay discovered and acquired the property along with his brother Kyle and a group of investors. He has since personally designed every element of the hotel, restaurant, and guest experience, reimagining the historic showpiece to reflect a modern-day interpretation of late 19th century aestheticism, a movement dedicated to pure beauty, combining intellect with art and the exotic. themadronahotel. com Reservations Books by Jay Jeffers I am excited to announce that my 3rd book, Classic Modern: Tailored Homes, Timeless Style, will be published August 2026 and is available for Presale now! The Process Architectural Once scope is defined, we are often asked to take the lead on interior finishes. This is always a collaborative effort with architects and scope may vary. Below is an overview of our process. IInterior Styles and Finishes The process begins with an Inspiration Presentation, drawing from our work and other sources to establish the desired mood and style. Renderings, sketches, and material samples—such as tile, stone, wood, cabinetry, and fixtures—are reviewed, with showroom or workshop visits included as needed. When appropriate, virtual reality walkthroughs are created in collaboration with the architect to help visualize the spaces.
