This exceptional Beaux Arts heritage building was designed by Arthur Brown Jr., the architect to San Francisco City Hall, Coit Tower and the War Memorial Opera House. The 2 unit building was purchased by 2 4th-generation San Francisco brothers with the idea of maintaining the history and old world charm at the front of the apartments and slowly morph into ultra modern in the back. We collaborated with Butler Armsden Architects and gutted both flats to create 2 distinctly individual apartments designed for 2 distinctly different brothers.
